Dear Mike,
Last week I ordered a copy of your video via the net, it arrived safely today for which I thank you.
I stumbled upon your web site by accident as it had never occurred to me to look for one! I was a very eager student of yours back in about 1994 just prior to my retrurn to Australia. I don't expect you to remember me but I did two days training on a Monday and Tuesday but you advised a third day to polish things up. You had no vacancy the next day but one on the Thursday, so I quickly returned to London on my hired Triumph Sprint and picked up my lady friend, Virginia (now my wife) and returned to complete the third day. Very generously you allowed her to ride pillion with me and furnished her with a radio so that she could hear the commentary. A truly memorable day for us.
Within a few weeks I set out on a trip to Lebanon via all the mountains I could find in between and enjoyed three months touring the Middle East, Greece and Turkey enhanced by my newly acquired motorcycling skills.
Since returning home I have been extolling the value of your teaching to all my motorcycling mates but now I have something tangible to show them. I can't wait!
I continue to ride as often as possible (still on the same bike I bought in UK for the Lebanon trip) and the lessons I learned are still applied all the time.
But it was a wondereful experience to watch the video, hear "that voice" again and be reminded of undoubtedly the most important three days in my 41 years of motorcycling.
Thank you Mike.

Great WEb Site Mike. I am an IAM Senior Observer and I am about to run an Observer Training Course for some of my Group Members (Carlisle Advanced Motorists). The Web Site and Video are so good that I have added it to my list of Observer Training Course reading material. Keep up the good work.

There is a road that crosses Porton Down, Wilts. which has no houses on it, the whole 2 miles of it is visible to the driver throughout travelling along it, there are fields of 'fenced in' sheep and scrub land on either side of the road, the road surface is fine and in many years there has never been an accident to my knowledge and I travel the road 3 times per day. The speed restriction has been reduced first from 60mph to 40mph and now to 30mph ~ absolutely ludicrous

Another year. Another course. This time with a difference ....
Last year when I left, Mike had suggested that it will be good to take the training during the rain. My oh My did he get his wish!! I don't like riding in the rain, being one of those fair weather bikers.
Full day of rain rain rain. Good to test out all my kit for waterproofing claims. Learnt how to ride in the rain and most importantly stop it from affecting my concentration.
I was quite surprised by this year's course. How much I was using the system and how much more there was to learn this year. Really enjoyed the riding this year, because last year I was still learning the system. This year was able to fine tune all the bits I was bad at or were not doing. Still a bit of work on judging overtakes.
Also remembered how beautiful that part of the country is. Great way to spend a long weekend.

I have never seen the Picking Daisies advice from instructions sources in the States, but am definitely taking it to heart. As for the business with eye contact, I've had motorists look STRAIGHT AT ME and initate a left (right in the UK) turn in front of my path, so I've learned to take limited stock in eye contact or other in-cockpit intelligence. However, the sight of a motorist with a phone to the ear instantly labels them as a threat to be actively avoided. Ride Safe everyone.
