Hi Mike, I'm a new rider having had my 1st bike, a 125cc, for little over a year now.
I wasn't sure when I ordered your DVD if it would help an novice like myself, but I can certainly say that the advice and techniques presented on the film apply to riders of all abilities and I can not reccommend it enough to anyone. Putting the techniques into practice has given me more confidence in my riding and I look forward to learning more once I pass my test. Many thanks and may I please encourage you to produce something similar for the in-town rider.

I ordered and safely received one of your DVDs last week. I used to live in Dorset and received the DVD while on a 2 week visit, so the roads featured were quite familiar.

I have now returned to Australia , where I live, and am emailing you to let you know how impressed I was with the DVD you have produced. This is a great riding instruction course and, through the use of the on bike camera, really illustrates the riding techniques you teach. I have a few friends who will undoubtedly want to borrow this , but I'll try and persuade them to buy theirs - assuming you can post to us down under!

Just wanted to let you know that I passed my advanced motorcycle test and that I found your DVD very informative indeed.
I am 51 years old and only passed my DSA test for a motorcycle last September and then in April started training for the IAM Advanced test, I almost forgot Mike, I am partially sighted and have Muscular Dystrophy which effects both my upper and lower body...but my motorcyling means so much to me and your DVD helped me emmensly , so thanks again mIke and if you ever do any more DVD filming would you please let me know as I would certainly buy one,

After passing my test I bought a Yamaha Thundercat 600 as my first bike. Whilst the bike was superb, I quickly realised I hadn’t much of a clue. Every time I approached a corner I used to slow right down and potter around – not having a clue about how to control the weight distribution of the bike through throttle control, where to position myself on the road, or indeed how to ‘read’ the road using visual points.

After a year of doing this I knew enough was enough. I used to take my wife for a pillion ride, but was always concerned with her safety because I never felt totally in control.

In 1997 I took a 3 day course with Mike. It was a total revelation! First day he basically took my riding apart (in a very gentle, kind spirited way). Second day he helped me piece together how I should be riding, and the third day was spent practising what I had learnt – ensuring I’d taken everything in. I felt my riding had been transformed. I couldn’t wait to get back to the Midlands to demonstrate my much improved riding skills to my wife. I’ll never forget hearing her expletives as we approached a corner at twice the speed I used to take it!

In 1998 I took the 2 day course to re-cap everything I had learnt the previous year. This proved really worthwhile because, although most of the system had sunk in, there were a couple of areas I could improve on in order to really grasp how the system works.

I re-took the 2 day course in 1999 and then again in 2000. By the time I’d finished the course in 1998 I had a thorough knowledge of the system and could apply it really well – so why take the course two further times?

… Because it was SO MUCH FUN!!

Mike – I can never thank you enough for your patience and superb training skills. It really did change my riding for ever and I know I wouldn’t be able to enjoy my riding as much as I do now if I didn’t possess these invaluable skills ….. yes, I’m still using the system to full effect! 

hi, i bought your dvd a month or so ago and watched it once or twice, at first i thought this isnt really worth the money ,BUT on sat 28/04/07 i was out for a run with my partner as pillion ,we were going over "the roller coaster "section of glenshee as we come over the last blind summit and able to see the on coming straight i was confronted by a range rover on my side of the road barging its way into a row of traffic ,it was a bit closer than it sounds but at the same time due to your "picking daisys" comentry i was far enough into the side of the road never to be in trouble .SO I NOW WANT TO THANK YOU FOR YOUR DVD ,and me being able to grow a little older and still enjoy life . yours thankfully ..stuart jones
